Jonathan Forster Quoted in Barron’s on Estate Taxes and Planning Under a Biden Presidency
Jonathan Forster was recently quoted in Cheryl Winokur Munk’s Barron’s article “A Biden Presidency Could Complicate Your Estate Taxes and Planning. Start Preparing Now.” According to Jon, many high net worth individuals are gifting large amounts this year because of concerns that they will lose the high exemption amount if presidential candidate Joe Biden wins the election. However, Jon also explains that he tells clients not to do anything solely for tax reasons, and to make sure they can truly afford to make a gift without it having an impact on their lives.
“Everyone has their own relative comfort level with respect to their net worth,” Jon says.
